November 7, 2003 - Did you join in and perk right up during "Library Espresso" with  "Perkin with Patty."  Everyone had a "a fresh-brewed Tude" just in time for the holidays.  Patty Wells Morrison, a Gering native, is a motivational speaker from Loveland and entertained for the evening.  She delighted us with her tales and left us with a whole new attitude about life, the universe, and everything.

November 6, 2004 - Keynote speaker was Nellene Mailander, winning author of the Nebraska Best Book for Youth 2003.  Everyone enjoyed listening to her while sampling a variety of desserts catered by Sweet Basil in the Gering Library Community room.

October 15, 2005 - Sarah Polak, Director of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center at Chadron State College, shared experiences from her job and information about the Center and the author, Mari Sandoz.

October 22, 2006 -  Ray Whitney, with her three associates, Imogene Roberts, Jamalee Clark and Suella Hanlon, invited the audience to participate with them in a dramatic presentation on the life of Dr. Georgia Fix, Nebraska's first woman doctor and an early founder of the library.
