Pre-school story time is a half hour program for children ages 3-6 consisting of stories, finger plays, songs, and films following a theme. Parents may stay if they wish. Materials are chosen not only for a theme but also for their quality and appropriateness to children of this age. Favors are usually given to each child to help them remember the stories and also help parents who may want to follow-up with activities at home. Following or preceding story time, parents are encouraged to spend time with their children checking out books and using library materials.
