Library Cards
How to Obtain a Library Card
Getting a library card at Gering Public Library only takes about 2
minutes. We ask for a photo ID and you simply fill out an application that requests your name,
address, phone number, birth date, a contact person's name with local phone
number - in case you move, and your signature. There is NO CHARGE
for your original library card. Upon approval, your card is issued that
day. There is a limit of two items the first time you use your card.
You MUST have your card with you to check out materials.
Lost Cards
Replacement cards can be issued for $2 if your library card is lost.
